Macro photography for larger insects

It is possible to get decent images with a camera setup for macro photography, without any microscope. The main challenges are getting your subject to 'pose' and holding the camera steady. I have a Fujifilm X30 which is a digital point-and-shoot with a macro mode. These images were taken hand-holding the X30.
